October 10th and 11th in this year 2009 will mark the fourth running of the “Kick the Couch 5K”, the “Zen Run 10K” and the “Phedippidations World Wide Half Marathon Challenge”
Registration opens on the first day of Spring, Friday March 20th in what will be the largest gathering of fellow runners from all over the good planet Earth.
Every podcast here on RunningPodcasts.org has a part to play in this event, as we use the power of new media to promote the sport of running, invite non-runners to rise off the “Couch of DOOM” and to inspire all runners to “step it up a notch” to take part in this global event with a local twist.
In the months that follow, there will be a lot written and recorded about the World Wide Festival of Races. Together we can change the world in a positive way, by using this event as a tool to show the world that the running life style is one that promises health, happiness, camaraderie and friendly support as we celebrate living our lives to the top!
